Helios 3D allows you to place the following types of structures on digital 3D terrain: fixed tilt mounting systems, single-axis trackers, east-west tables, V-tables, and solar fences.
Helios 3D operates based on Civil 3D, the professional civil engineering CAD system from Autodesk. It can process all kinds of 3D data to create a digital 3D terrain (object type TIN-surface). Professional planning is based on surveyor data collected on-site. In the early stages of project planning, a digital 3D terrain can also be created using data from geoportals, surveying offices, Autodesk Infraworks terrains (AEC Collection), Google Earth terrain data (via external applications), or other sources, and can be planned with Helios 3D. Once more precise terrain data is available, the 3D terrain can be updated, thereby refining the planning.
Every plan in Helios 3D can be exported to the Helios 3D Viewer at the push of a button. This represents the 3D model in a virtual environment. If the CAD plan is overlaid with a high-resolution orthophoto of the planning area, this image is mapped onto the 3D terrain in the Helios 3D Viewer, resulting in an almost realistic scene. Images from any perspective can be saved with a resolution of up to 8K.
